Biography
Dr. Abdul Hameed is an Associate Professor at Ziauddin University, Karachi, Pakistan, with a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in Japan. He serves as Deputy Coordinator of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Coordinator of the BS Molecular Medicine program, and leads the Cell Biology and Histology Laboratory. His research and academic interests focus on molecular diabetology, endocrinology, cell biology, and metabolic health.
Dr. Hameed has been recognized internationally for his scientific contributions, receiving the JES Excellent Award for Outstanding Scientific Work in 2018 and the AASD Investigator Award in 2019, both in Japan. Through his research, teaching, and academic leadership, he contributes to advancing molecular research and understanding of diabetes and endocrine disorders.
